Walter Goodwillie
Internal Medicine Physician
Walter received a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University. He attended Medical School and received an MD from Jefferson Medical College, and then pursued Residency for Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Walter has been an internal medicine physician at Sierra Tucson since September 2017. He works with the medical PA’s and other staff to address and monitor the physical health issues of our residents. He is in his 50th year of medical practice and brings a wealth of clinical experience to the stable. Technical care aside, his focus with patients is attentiveness, empathy, kindness, and a non-hurried attitude. A wise physician once commented, “If you listen to your patient long enough, they will tell you what is wrong with them!”
Walter shares many adventures in his spare time with his wife, 3 children, and 8 grandchildren. He is an avid gardener, beekeeper, classically-trained pianist, daily exerciser, and certified desert rat. Walter says, “I have worked with good people my entire career, but the people at Sierra Tucson are truly the best!”
