Tim Palus, CEO
Chief Executive Officer
Tim is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 35 years of professional experience working in the behavioral health and substance abuse treatment industries.
Tim has most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Growth and the Group President over the Residential Treatment Services Division at BayMark Health Services where he led the acquisition and development of all the company’s Residential treatment facilities’ inpatient and outpatient services. His responsibilities bridged all aspects of facility operations from clinical programming, business development, staff recruitment and financial monitoring. Under Tim’s leadership, facilities optimized their footprint by adding services, increasing bed capacity and in some instances, converting their treatment programs from primary substance use to primary mental health.
Prior to joining BayMark, Tim was a Chief Executive Officer for American Addiction Centers where he presided over two residential treatment facilities in New Orleans, Louisiana and in Lafayette, New Jersey; both “turnaround” facilities that flourished in patient engagement, length of stay, and financial performance under Tim’s leadership. Previous to his work at American Addiction Centers, Tim spent several years with Acadia as the Senior Vice President of Operations for our contract management division, as well as in various leadership roles with several large behavioral health organizations.
Tim has a master’s degree in psychology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.
