Madoka Lightfoot, MSN, PMHNP-BC Board Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health, is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is from the DFW area. She graduated from TCU with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 1993. She worked in the area of adult, youth, and emergency psychiatry prior to completing her Master’s Degree in Nursing from UT at Arlington. She has been working as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry treating all psychiatric issues across the lifespan since 1999. Ms. Lightfoot understands and appreciates the importance of providing patients and families the education to understand their or their child’s diagnoses and treatment options. She values the importance of hearing the patient’s perspective (no matter what the child’s age) along with the family member’s or parent’s observations and perspective to help guide them on their journey to mental well-being. Her focus of care is diagnoses and medication management of the psychiatric condition, but she is a strong advocate of therapy. She is happy to provide referrals and advice for finding a therapist/psychologist.
