Kira E. Leach, LMSW
Primary Therapist
Kira E. Leach, LMSW and Meditation facilitator, was welcomed as a member of the Sierra at Southlake team in 2022 as a Primary Therapist. Kira received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Texas Woman’s University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Kira’s decade of experience in the mental health field spans from working in various levels of care with adults and adolescents including inpatient, outpatient, community support, and enrichment programs. Kira has acquired knowledge serving in multiple roles as a group facilitator, primary therapist, intake coordinator, and program coordinator for clients struggling with mental health and substance abuse symptomology.
Kira’s primary focus is substance abuse recovery, domestic violence, and trauma-informed care, all with an approach combining Meditation, Mindfulness, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and traditional talk therapy. Kira’s goal is to foster an environment of safety and acceptance where clients are empowered with the freedom to explore their experiences and share their emotions with the assurance of being seen, heard and honored in their sacred journey to balance and well-being.
In her free time, Kira enjoys nature adventures, learning, exploring new places, and sharing time with loved ones.
