Brenda Baker, M.Ed., LISAC originally started her career in substance use at Sierra Tucson in 1990 where she served as a family therapist and subsequently, as a primary therapist working with individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Throughout her tenure at Sierra Tucson she has been a primary therapist in a variety of programs including Mood & Anxiety, Addiction Recovery and Pain Recovery. Prior to returning to Sierra Tucson in 2017, Brenda worked as a substance use disorder clinician and clinical director for Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse in Tucson, AZ. Brenda holds a Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance and Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. She is a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor and a Certified Grief Professional. Brenda is committed to the process of healing and helping individuals identify their strengths to empower themselves in recognizing their ability to start and continue their healing journey, maintain sobriety and emotional wellness.
